Privateers Lose Another Lead Late

In a pattern that is becoming familiar, the Privateers led most of the way at San Jose State before falling behind late and losing 87-82.

New Orleans trailed very early but took control of the game midway through the first half, led at halftime, and expanded that lead into the second half.  But the host Spartans had UNO on their heels down the stretch, overtaking them and securing a narrow victory on Saturday afternoon.

Jah Short had the best game of his young career, posting 18 points and 8 rebounds on 7-of-7 shooting in just 18 minutes.  Jordan Johnson's shooting was off but he still led the way with 24 points and 6 assists.

The Privateers (4-5) continue their California trip with a game at San Francisco on Monday night.
