The Lions, who trailed 36-34 at the break, were down 51-46 when their big run propelled them to an 8-point lead, which grew to 10 shortly thereafter. UNO fought back, getting as close as 4, but couldn't quite catch up again.
The two offensive forces for New Orleans were Damion Rosser, who led the way with 22, and Derek St. Hilaire, who added 18. No other Privateers reached double figures.
UNO will get a week off before returning home next Saturday to face Stephen F. Austin.
