Nicholls jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never looked back, demolishing New Orleans 92-68 on Saturday afternoon at Stopher Gym.
The Colonels never trailed or even came close to trailing, and didn't break much of a sweat in disposing of the Privateers (8-20, 4-14). Nicholls hit 11 threes on the afternoon.
UNO didn't get much of anything outside of its backcourt mainstays, Bryson Robinson and Troy Green. Green led the Bucs with 19 points, and Robinson added 18, also leading the team with 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
New Orleans remains on the road, next traveling to Northwestern State on Wednesday to begin the final week of its season.
