Blake Dean, with just two years of experience as an assistant coach, will take the reigns of the UNO baseball program. The 27-year-old former LSU Tiger first baseman will be named Privateer head coach today.Dean was a paid assistant for the Privateers in 2015 and a volunteer assistant in 2014.
Dean replaces the retiring Ron Maestri, who led 11-38 and 14-40 campaigns for those two seasons.
