Privateers Drop Opener to McNeese

In what has been a somewhat frequent occurrence this season, the Privateers (11-30, 2-20) jumped out to an early 3-0 lead at Maestri Field, only to see it dissipate.  McNeese chipped away and eventually overtook New Orleans in the 7th, going ahead for good on a throwing error by shortstop Samuel Capielano.

UNO will take on the Cowboys in game two of the series Saturday at Maestri Field starting at 2 p.m.
